WE DON’T RECOMMEND BUYING PORK FROM GIANT.

HIGH PRICES, LOW STANDARDS

Giant sells pork from suppliers that confine mother pigs in tiny metal crates barely larger than their bodies. Crammed in these cruel cages, pigs are unable to turn around or move freely for months on end.

Gestation crates are among the most extreme forms of confinement in the food industry. Pigs suffer from stress, open wounds, and infections as they are forced to live in filth, unable to express any natural behaviors.

Gestation crates are so controversial that they are banned in many U.S. states and countries. Many restaurants, including fast food chains like McDonald’s and Burger King, are phasing them out.

We’re tired of Giant lying to us about its sh*t standards.

HERE’S THE PROBLEM

CUSTOMERS HAVE NO IDEA JUST HOW BAD GIANT’S PORK REALLY IS

SUFFERING

Imagine spending your entire life confined to an airplane seat. Pigs kept in gestation crates in Giant’s supply chain endure this kind of treatment and worse.

Animal welfare scientists and veterinarians around the world have condemned this practice and consider it extreme animal cruelty.

LOW QUALITY

Meat from factory farms that use gestation crates is more likely to come from animals under extreme stress—raising serious concerns about animal welfare and food safety.

Giant’s customers deserve better standards.

BEHIND THE TIMES

Gestation crates have been banned in numerous U.S. states, including Florida and California, and across the European Union.

Giant’s parent company once pledged to get rid of these crates, but they’ve backtracked on their promise to customers.

giant’S SUPPLIERS USE GESTATION CRATES just like these…

YOU CAN’T TRUST THESE GUYS TO DO RIGHT BY YOUR FAMILY

Giant executives let cruelty slide in the name of profit. For over a decade, food companies have been moving away from cruel gestation crates. But Giant? They’ve refused to make a change.

While others take action to phase out extreme confinement, Giant has stayed loyal to the worst suppliers in the pork industry, sending the message that cruelty is okay.

They’ve made their decision. Let’s make ours and stay away from Giant’s low standards.
